Our History

Aston Walker was established in 2005 by Neil Walker. He set up a small funeral home in Garlinge, Margate and a year later opened an office in Cliftonville.

Previously, Neil had worked for two local funeral directors and quickly realised that this sensitive and respectful profession suited his compassionate nature. “I started the firm to give people the respectful and dignified service that suits their needs and because we are only a small family firm, we can give people the time they require and deserve.”

Keith joined the firm in 2006 after a long and distinguished career with Securicor. Amongst his responsibilities at that time Keith was part of a Security Management Team for the main Political Party Conferences held annually since the Brighton Bombings and for the Royal Marines Music Festivals at the Royal Albert Hall. In 1992 Keith was one of only four Securicor Managers selected to take over complete security control of Three Cunard Liners during the Barcelona Olympic Games. Keith says “To be able to listen and talk with families on such a sensitive matter is an honour and after the funeral has taken place I feel like I have made new friends.”

Neil and his wife Juliette said “Having served families¬†from all over the country and indeed abroad, it is still humbling and a privilege to continue to support them at such a difficult time.”
